EIE examples

This page contains people I personally classify as EIE (ENFJ). There are a few comments for each example. I now believe that pretty much everyone who uploads videos about themselves to YouTube or other social media platforms is a beta intuitive. However, in my opinion, it’s a rather introverted activity, as the people here mainly sit alone in front of a monitor in their home, speaking to an imaginary audience and interacting with them through comments. After ten years of observing typology, it’s clear to me that the majority of people on such networks probably belong to the IEI sociotype, which has led me to a certain realization of the complexity of the structure of a „type“, considering how different people potentially are despite their identical „type.“ On the one hand, this unfortunately makes it quite difficult to represent all 16 types with visual examples. On the other hand, it can give a sense of the diversity of people in general, as typologies often tend to reflect a simplified structure of the human psyche. I am very aware of the subjectivity of this observation and now suspect that the sociotype itself is only one of several layers of the psyche, and that the „type“ probably has a minor effect on a person’s „personality.“ I also suspect that personal interests and political orientations are another aspect of the psyche that people don’t necessarily consciously determine, but rather depend on concrete experiences and the structure of their personality, and are probably predictable. I think this is a fundamentally different aspect from the intertype relationships of socionics, and in my view, they also have a major influence on whether or not people get along with each other in the long term. In this sense, I am somewhat distancing myself from the original socionics itself, at least in terms of how the types and relationships are defined. It’s possible that Carl Jung, who originally defined only eight types, not 16, only identified subtypes of a particular type. I think typologies will need to define the 16 types better in the future. Many examples on this page have determined their type through testing, and the number of examples is relatively small. Personally, I find it more important to correctly identify the respective types in order to get an accurate „picture“ of the types.

In my opinion, EIE is one of the few sociotypes, alongside IEIs, who also actively participate in the media and present themselves to the public through it. In general, this tendency seems to be prevalent among specific representatives of the xNFx sociotypes. On a communicative level, EIE is arguably the most social and expressive of the 16 types. This sociotype seems to be always involved with other people around him. I personally assume that 12 of the 16 sociotypes present themselves very little or not at all in the media. The examples below do not necessarily reflect my personal interests and views.

Examples

PewDiePie

Felix Kjellberg (Pewdiepie) was at one point the person with the most followers and fans on Youtube, which he describes with the military-themed term „9 year old army“. I personally perceive him as a very emotional person who likes to joke, fool around and needs to let off steam from time to time by singing or dancing, which in my eyes corresponds very well to the EIE sociotype. Occasionally he shows an interest in philosophy and a deeper understanding of the world. However, he finds it difficult to maintain a positive view of the world, probably because EIE is a negativist (Fe- as a base function). I think Pewdiepie’s temperament is more on the right-wing side of the political spectrum, and he now lives a relatively private life in Japan with his wife Marzia (IEI). Early in his career, he displayed more introverted behavior patterns (his facial expressions often convey an impression of detachment and indifference, often found in intuitive and introverted people who seem disconnected from reality). I think he’s a creative subtype in the DCNH system, which also corresponds to my own subtype. Interestingly, he took a test of the 16 types in an American version and received the equivalent of the SLI sociotype as a result, the exact opposite of the type I suspect he is.

Karl Rock

Karl Rock is a person on YouTube who, in my opinion, looks very similar to Pewdiepie and is aware of it. Many of his videos revolve around his life in India.

Greg Doucette

Doucette is a person on Youtube who posts a lot of videos about fitness and physical culture. He has a very talkative and loud temperament with a very incisive voice and makes a lot of social commentary about other people on the platform. Interestingly, he has also posted videos about Pewdiepie and has spoken positively about him. I suspect his interest in him is due to their same sociotype.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is arguably one of the most famous people in the world today, and like PewDiePie, she has built a cult-like fan base. While PewDiePie jokingly refers to his fans as a „9-year-old army,“ Taylor Swift’s followers are known as „Swifties,“ who are obsessively involved in and informed about her private life. I consider her a very expressive, highly emotional person who could be described as liberal. Typical of Swift are the emotional bonds she builds with her fans. Like PewDiePie, I consider her a creative subtype.

Niamh Adkins

Niamh Adkins is a YouTuber who has posted many videos about Taylor Swift and is a huge fan of hers. I discovered her through a video about her type, and she also seems to be very similar to Taylor Swift in temperament.

わだありちゃんねる

A Japanese Youtuber who caught my attention through her video about her type. She has very expressive facial expressions that stand out as a feature of EIE from my point of view.

Marz

Marz uploads videos about video games that I personally find very interesting, such as the games from the studio FromSoftware. She got the EIE (ENFJ) type as a result in a test and I think this assessment is correct. Like Adkins, she is characterized by very expressive facial expressions and her eyes move in different directions at a similar rate. In my opinion, Marz is on the left spectrum in terms of temperament and is characterized by developed artistic creativity. Of all the examples on this page, she probably has the greatest overlap with my own temperament.

Sydsnap

Sydsnap is a very expressive and loud YouTube personality who primarily creates videos about Japan. I’m not entirely sure if she’s actually an IEI, but her expressive nature fits very well with the extroverted type. However, it’s not entirely clear to me to what extent this is more of a role play. I suspect pretty much all actors are probably IEI. They play imaginary roles for an audience (Fe) that don’t reflect their true personalities. These roles are often created through imagination (Ni).

Anna Cramling

Anna Cramling is a chess player who is characterized by a very open, emotional and inviting personality.

Richard David Precht

The next three examples refer to German public figures. Precht is a philosopher, Kamps was a presenter with a very direct and emotional communication style, Winterscheidt is an entertainer on television in various programs.
